The March was started in 2006 by The St. Louis Youth Group in Louisville (above). After years of participating with the Yellow Team, they chose to do something different that would raise funds for local uninsured breast cancer patients instead of the larger generalized walks. Enjoy the innagural year (2006) photos ...
So they donned their Yellow Team shirts early one Sunday morning and 85 individuals marched a 5K through the streets of Louisville. The kids rallied to raise over $2100, but more importantly, they created something bigger than us and bigger than themselves.
The Mickaela Foundation has taken this gift and run with it, and this year we invite everyone to come and join us in making a stand for the uninsured cancer patient in Colorado. The festivities will begin as we open registration and check in at 7:30am at Louisville Community Park at Belle Vista Drive and County Road in Louisville.

Next year's March will also be held at Louisville Community Park at County Road & Bella Vista in Louisville. (MAP) We offer two Marches; The Stroll, a short jaunt around the park's perimeter (about 1 mile or so) or the Trail March, about a 5K along the Coal Creek Trail from Bella Vista up to St. Andrews and back around to the Park. They are both nice, happy, easy walks with beautiful scenery. Click here for our March Routes.
